A ghIq was a type of serpent animal, found for example in the Talthar Highlands on Qo'noS. After being trained by Nakri, Klag and Dorrek were able to distinguish the scent of a ghIq from that of a wam serpent. (GKN - Tales from the Captain's Table short story: "loDnI'pu' vavpu' je")
