The Twi'lek Legion was volunteer unit of Twi'leks serving the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Led by Twi'lek nationalist Teska Allaran, the Legion had some 45,000 personnel, who fought in many battles for the CIS. It was formally part of the Separatist Droid Army, and was one of the several volunteer legions that fought for the Confederacy during the war. Ironically, it did not take part in the Battle of Ryloth, despite that it was the Twi'lek homeworld. That was due to the fact that various atrocities were being committed against the native Twi'leks by the CIS there, and they made sure that the Twi'lek volunteers did not find out about them. It was to also keep them free of influence of the revolutionary Twi'lek freedom fighters.
