Thomas John Sillitoe (1882 -1964) was a Labour Party politician in the Shoreditch area. A member of Shoreditch Borough Council, he was Mayor of Shoreditch in 1927-28 and throughout World War II. He was awarded the OBE in the 1941 Birthday Honours. He was a member of the London County Council from 1925-1931 representing Shoreditch. An image here [1].
