Jeff was a Jamaican bus conductor who lunched with Harry Hewitt and Eileen Hughes in the depot canteen. Jeff had only recently arrived in the UK and complained about the bitter cold of a British winter, saying that the cold and damp eat into his bones and he missed the sunshine of his home. The two were surprised to find out that it was Harry's birthday and he laughed as Eileen teased him about his age.
