Usinsk (Finn. Usala, Komi Uskar) is a Uralican city in Pechora county, located 100 km north of the county seat by air, but when travelling by highway (Highways UH-1 to Synja, and then UH-1B north from there) the distance is closer to 135 km. The municipal body has its borders along the Usa River some 30km east of its confluence with the Pechora River. However, "Usinsk proper" is roughly 2 kilometres inland, with its river port actually being in the subordinate town of Parma.
