The Cheval family was a Human family originally from Coruscant that comprised mostly of Force-sensitive members, though were a few who were not attuned to the Force. The earliest known member of this family was the father of Norvan Cheval, who would himself bring the family to prominence. The family served as members of the New Jedi Order for generations, as well as some of its members being found among the Imperial Knights and the One Sith. The Cheval family remained active in the galaxy for over a century and were an honoured house by the time of the Third Jedi Purge.
