Jacob Pierce was the commander of the Frostkeep forces stationed at Fortress Sarwick when it fell to the orcs. He was a gruff man, often short with visitors and soldiers alike, although this may in part be explained by his past. The soldiers and guardsmen tolerated Jacob and obeyed his orders solely on the merit that he did possess a keen strategic mind. His troubles with alcohol, however, often provoked ire and reduce the overall morale within the guard.
