It costs $2500 to upgrade all GLA toxin units at the Palace. All toxin units will receive a 25% boost in attack. It shows a blue appearance when used on the battlefield as opposed to the green colour of normal GLA toxins. Dr. Thrax's units are already supplied with Anthrax Beta, with can further upgrade the potency of their toxins with Anthrax Gamma.
