Zee Wolf the Elder joined the Rebel Alliance in Year -2 (1997) as the CO of a fighter squadron. The squadron rapidly evolved into a special operations unit, and then expanded to become a fleet. Wolf became the XO (Lieutenant Supreme Commander) of the Rebel Alliance within a few months, and then ultimately the Leader (Supreme Commander). Sweeping changes strengthened and expanded the Rebel Alliance at a time when the Galactic Empire was in decline, and he fathered a unique diplomatic arrangement that meant that the GE was matched by united, opposing forces that would answer to Wolf.
