Three ships are hurled across the galaxy after an OtherSpace Drive mishap. The crews find themselves imperiled by the brutal Kretonians. When they manage to re-create the malfunction and hurl themselves back to Val Shohob, it triggers the deterioration of Kreton's sun, dooming that world.
