The USS Carbon Creek (NCC-39704) was a Broken Bow-class Federation corsair starship in Starfleet service in the mid-24th century. The Carbon Creek was named for Carbon Creek, Pennsylvania, 20th century hometown of inventor Jackson Roykirk. The ship was built by Flaargen-Tak's spacecraft division, originally named only by construction contract, as USS CR-39704. Laid down on stardate 21612.9, launched on 6 July 2345, and finally commissioned and named on stardate 23104.7, with the navigational contact code NCC-39704. Carbon Creek was delivered to Star Station Questar-9 for station duty by the ship's first commander, Lieutenant Junior Grade R.L. Harlanser. (Trekker's Alternity Galactopedia)
