The Liberation-class Escort Frigate was the Mikaru Corporation and Free Echani Alliances answer to the EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate and her problems. The Nebulon-B was a very stable craft, heavily armed for her size, but she had a clear weakness. Her long central shaft was lightly armored, and if placed under heavy weapons fire could split the ship in half, killing most if not all of the crew.
