Robert Maxwell was an accountant and the husband of Moira Maxwell. He met up with Elsie Tanner when she visited the Wilmslow pub the Fox and Hounds. Robert offered Elsie a ride home and he confessed how unhappy his marriage made him. When he drove off again, he suffered a fatal heart attack and crashed the car. Elsie fled the scene and Moira later attempted to get revenge upon her.
