The Real Time Transportation Control System, or RTCS for short, is a system designed to resolve chronic traffic jams. After a brief trial run, the RTCS became fully operational in 2010. Its main feature is the ability to control and adjust traffic lights depending on the situation. It supposedly predicts the best timing for railway stops and boasts the ability to turn all traffic lights in an area red in the event of an emergency.
