Many important crops like, cereals, fruits, vegetables, spices, flowers, fibers, etc. are widely cultivated in Dakshin Dinajpur, Malda and Uttar Dinajpur districts under the Old alluvial Zone (OAZ) of northern part of West Bengal. These districts are very backward in almost all socio-economic indicators and the economy totally depends on the agriculture. Moreover, the lack of knowledge regarding the latest Agricultural technological know-how, non-availability of seed materials accompany with a little need based research findings, climate change due to global warming are the major causes of low productivity of this old alluvial zone. However, t
