The Colony Energy Rifle is a peculiar weapon not of human origin. In fact, it is manufactured by the Recursives who dominate the Sonoran Desert. It is one of three weapons which may drop during PvE and open world instances that are exclusively available to the Robotics class, the others being the Heavy Wrench and the Techro Blaster. The Energy Rifle has superior damage per hit over the HEL-TAC Rifle, but costs more power and has a slower refire rate.
