There are lots of theories about that, even thought its not confirmed, I believe Yin dies at Season 2. According to the japanese mythology, Kagutsuchi birth caused Izanami (in this case, Yin) death. At the anime, Kagutsuchi is born, so if the anime goes according to that, Yin is dead.
