When Gladstone received the license, they published 37 issues, numbered 511 to 547, from October 1986 through April 1990. When Disney saw how successful these were, they decided to get into the publishing business and Disney Comics, Inc. began printing the series. Gladstone eventually regained the license and published 47 more issues, numbered 586 to 633, from August 1993 through February 1999.
