A COS (Cellular Operating System) is addressing the problem of designing a general purpose operating system for use on a multicore systems. A general statement of the problem being addressed is: * Design a Scalable General Purpose Multi-Processor Operating System As part of this general objective a COS tries to address a number of sub problems in the design of such systems. The sub problems being addressed can be split into the following areas: * Correctness (Logical Reliability) * Physical Reliability * Energy Efficiency * State Awareness
