The Æther (from True-Tongue: Adaan, literally "Eternity") is a large black void of infinite spacetime that makes up most of Calthoss' Creation, surrounding what the Shine calls "the Chariot," what the Shadow calls "the Barrow," and what 10th calls "the Cycle," (i.e. Mattes' Great-Hall, the World-Wheels, and the Axle - the 8,001st Cycle). Everything within the Æther experiences time subjectively, but the Æther as a whole (i.e. 10th) does not. The subjective experience of time within the Æther is strange (i.e. time passess differently on this Earth as opposed to Ymetros).
