Skkan is a Gorn male, and a young junior lieutenant on a Gorn freighter, working for the Interspecies Trade Alliance. Skkan came to know Captain Kkossa when he was 13, and the elder Gorn taught him about freighter life and how to get along. Skkan saw Kkossa as a father figure to him, as both had chosen a life away from their families. In 2598, Skkan was killed when the ship he was on was attacked and destroyed by the Saer'nar.
