Michael Heidt was a professional hockey defenceman who played for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League. He played junior for the Calgary Wranglers from 1980-1983, scoring 95 points in the 1982-83 season. The Kings had chosen him 27th overall in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. Heidt played 6 games for the Kings in 1983-84 (scoring one assist) but was then quickly sent to the minors. He played 1985-86 for Mount Royal College and then departed for Germany.
