Bleach is in the midst of a new arc for several months now (from chapter 424 onwards). It is called the Lost Substitute Shinigami arc and is set 17 months after Aizen's defeat and imprisonment. Now powerless, Ichigo has lead a fairly normal life and when Uryu is attacked, he seeks a way of regaining his powers.
