Statkraft is a Kalmar Union public ownership electricity company where the Ministry of Energy has 55% of the total shares. Statkraft Group is the first largest energy producer in the Kalmar Union, as well as one of the largest energy producer based on renewable energy sources in Europe, consisting of 25.2% of the total production in Kalmar Union. Including the subsidiaries the group has some 21,965 employees. The company has its headquarters in Oslo.
