Tropical Storm Claudette was the fourth named storm of the 1997 Atlantic hurricane season. Claudette developed from a non-tropical frontal low that absorbed Hurricane Bill earlier in the season. The low eventually acquired tropical characteristics, and developed into Tropical Storm Claudette, located well east of the East Coast of the United States. Claudette moved north, then east, and dissipated on July 16, after forming on July 13. Claudette caused no damage, and no fatalities.
