This class of battleships was introduced in 1905, shortly before HMS Dreadnought revolutionized the war at sea. Its main difference to the battleships built before is that it is equipped with a battery of medium 9.2" guns, like contemporary foreign battleships carried them. Although they are clearly obsolete by now, they still have many uses as training and escort vessels or to support other forces.
