Mecko, son of Garjak, was a male Ferengi, the brother of the famous DaiMon Greko. After Greko had become a starship commander, his father sent Mecko and his other two brothers, Hecko and Trop, to serve with him. The four brothers found this to be an excellent and enjoyable arrangement, and spent many hours together playing tongo, enjoying aural sculpture, and sharing Orion slave women on the holodeck.
