Anakin Skywalker was a Force-sensitive male Human from Tatooine. Prior to the Soul Wars, he had been a famously heroic Jedi Knight who served the Galactic Republic; eventually, he fell to the dark side and struck fear upon the galaxy as the Sith Lord Darth Vader, serving the Galactic Empire as Emperor Palpatine's Sith apprentice and top enforcer. During the Soul Wars, Vader was charged with the task of retrieving Soul Edge for his master.
