Timmerman was a Manticoran citizen and an officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy. In the second half of the 17th Century PD, Timmerman held the rank of Captain and was in command of HMS Swiftsure, one of the ships sent to the Silesian Confederacy for anti-piracy operations under Commodore Edward Saganami. After the Battle of Trautman's Star, Commodore Saganami put Timmerman in charge of the ships that were to return to the Star Kingdom, escorting the taken prizes. (SI1)
