In the 2007 Goodyear 150, Rafael Martinez held off a challenge from Germán Quiroga over the final 10 laps to claim the victory in the first NASCAR Mexico Series race Sunday, April 1 in Amozoc, Puebla. German and Rafael exchanged the lead several times on the 1.25-mile oval before an estimated 8,000 fans. Carlos Pardo, who won the non-points event March 4 in Mexico City, finished in the third position after starting eighth.
