Kathryn was born in San Francisco and spent her life there. She was privileged and went to top notch schools. However, she never cared for them much. She was always her father's daughter and dreamed of Starfleet from a young age. Right after secondary school she was admitted to Starfleet academy. There, she double majored in the Medical and JAG programs.
