Muriestonis a district on the southern edge of Livingston, West Lothian, Scotland. It is notable for being the most affluent area of Livingston and having a good primary school. All the housing is owned privately and the majority are 3/4/5 bedroomed detached properties. Livingston South train station, on the line connecting Edinburgh and Glasgow Central, is located in Murieston. There is a small number of shops and restaurants Bankton Mains, adjacent to the train station. The limited bus service links Murieston to the Town Centre only. The A71 road, skirts the area. The district lies on both sides of Murieston Water which is flanked by public parkland.
