Elastic is inserted at the upper edge of the sleeve and a gusset is featured at the underarm. The dirndl skirt joins the bodice at the natural waistline under a ribbon sash or self fabric belt. Style I is fashioned with an off-the-shoulder bodice. The underskirt is cut in two sections and the overskirt in four. In Style II, a border design may be used and the dress is finished with a square neckline.
