The Federal Aviation Administration has announced the launch of the Center of Excellence for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS-COE) as an important part of its Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Research, Engineering, and Development Program. When established, the Center will be asked to conduct a variety of research initiatives to support the safe and efficient integration of UAS into the National Airspace System (NAS).
