IDYB or INDIAN DEFENCE YEAR BOOK is an annual defence journal, published on 1 January each year. The first edition of the Indian Defence Yearbook was released by the President of India, Dr SD Sharma, in June 1997. Since then, IDYB has grown into India’s most respected and widely circulated defence yearly journal. The Yearbook is edited by Maj Gen RK Arora. One half of the Yearbook is devoted to analyses of defence issues and the other to equipment. It carries information related to defence expenditure, defence technology developments, current conflicts and market intelligence.
