The rat is a minor villain in A Christmas Carol. Like most rats, this one is considered a pest. In the future sequence, Ebenezer Scrooge is somehow shrunk by The Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come, and finds himself sliding down drain pipes, eventually ending up in Old Joe's house. When Scrooge has a look around he notices various goods that he once owned. It turned out that during this future Scrooge had just died and his former maid, along with Old Joe robbed all of his belongings.
