Following the destruction of the first attack wave which the Wraith had sent to Atlantis during the Battle of Atlantis, the remaining Wraith cruisers fled and alerted twelve more Hive Ships. These ships were on their way to Atlantis and had to make a hyperspace break over this planet, which was situated 50 light years away from Lantea. The Atlantis expedition chose this location as the place, where they sent the Daedalus to beam Nuclear warheads on board the Hive Ships. The Daedalus was eventually able to destroyed two Hive Ships using Asgard beaming technology, but the Wraith used their Jamming codes for the first time, preventing nuclear weapons from beaming into their ships.
