Raz, short for Razputin is the main character of Psychonauts. He is a ten year old boy that was raised in the circus. At a young age Raz began to show psychic abilities, but his father banned him from using them and forced him to undergo strenuous acrobatic training. This was done to train Raz to control his psychic powers. At the beginning of the game Raz is only able to strike objects with a pulse of psychic energy and has the ability to perform a double jump, later on he learns such abilities as telekinesis, levitation and invisibility. Due to a curse done by another family Raz is unable to go in water due to a large water hand appearing which will then drag him underwater causing him to drown.
