The event had a negative reaction. Many players thought ROBLOX copied the ship design for a Carnival Cruise and thought there will be a lawsuit. Also the second free item, the Endless Summer Life Preserver had to be obtained by one of the two gamepasses and glitches. Only 32,107 players got the item.
