Dor-Winion was destroyed in the world-changing War of Wrath at the end of the First Age and its people scattered among the Silvan elves of Eriador. It was remembered by the Sindar who fled east in the Second Age, however, leading to the name of the Mannish land of Folyavuld among the Elves of Mirkwood: Dorwinion.
