In 2366, the USS Enterprise-D rendezvoused with the Jovis so that a supply of hytritium could be brought aboard the Enterprise. In order to bring the material aboard, Lieutenant Commander Data was assigned to use the shuttlecraft Chris Pike. During the transfer the shuttlecraft exploded, and Data was believed destroyed by the crew of the Enterprise. However, Data had actually been kidnapped and made part of Fajo's collection.
