The EKX-10 is an attempt to combine the best technological features of the BlasTech EE-3, A280, and Sharpshooter V carbine to produce a replacement for the venerable E-11. This was successful to an extent. The resulting weapon is lightweight and compact, hits just as hard as the E-11, yet is capable of engaging targets at ranges of the A280 and SS-V. While up to BlasTech's usual standards of reliability, many military evaluators have criticised the weapon as being hard to maintain and repair in the field.
