Kal Yast, his birth name unknown, was a Nautolan Jedi Master stationed on Dantooine and a member of the Jedi High Council during the Great Sovereign Crusades. While serving on Dantooine, he was kidnapped by the Bendu Order and beheaded by Ussej Padric Bac while the High Priest was attempting to force the Jedi Order to surrender as the guardians of the galaxy. After his murder, Kal was hailed as a hero and a martyr who died protecting the order that he had spent his life serving.
