An Ancient Lich is a level 4 unit belonging to the race of Undead. It does not belong to the same faction, however, as it cannot be recruited in normal gameplay. It does not advance into or from anything, except in the campaign Descent into Darkness in which the player can advance their Lich into an Ancient Lich. Ancient Liches can unleash incredibly powerful magical attacks at range, and they are surprisingly capable in melee due to ther Drains ability and high damage.
