Edward St. Leger (6 October 1866 - 7 September 1941), who became 6th Viscount Doneraile on 1 January 1891, was a peer, barrister and local politician in the Westminster area. The son of the Reverend Edward Frederick St. Leger and Caroline Elizabeth née Bishop, he was born at Scotton Rectory, Lincolshire. He was educated at Winchester College and New College, Oxford, graduating in 1889. In 1891, the year he succeeded his uncle as Viscount Doneraile, he was called to the bar at the Inner Temple. An enthusiastic skater, he was president of the National Skating Association.
