Christina was the assistant to Professor Canaris, who was attacked by a werewolf in the woods. She became a werewolf when Canaris attacked her, and she went to the Daily Planet with video evidence of the werewolf sighting. Christina and Clark Kent went to Canaris' office, where Canaris appeared in his werewolf form and fought with him after he morphed into Superboy. Christina disappeared during the melee, but unbeknownst to Clark, she transformed into a werewolf and killed an unknown victim, establishing Christina as a heel. Christina wanted Canaris killed hoping that her curse would be lifted, and he was killed during his fight with Superboy.
