Whiskey 039 was a UNSC Air Force D77-TC Pelican assisting in the evacuation of the city of New Alexandria during the Fall of Reach. After picking up a group of civilians, the Pelican was pinned down by long-range Shade turrets. It was later saved by SPARTAN-B312 piloting a UH-144 Falcon.
