From 2009 to 2011, the promotion was under the ownership of Tommy Bishop and promoted as the American Wrestling Federation (AWF) before being sold to Chimera Sports International, an American sports promotion company specializing in mixed martial arts and professional wrestling. It is currently the largest professional wrestling promotion in the world, reaching 7 million viewers in the U.S. and broadcasting its shows to more than 100 countries.
