Aplacum had been at war with the demon Vandalus for centuries for domination over each other's empires. The Charmed Ones became involved with the two when Phoebe received a vision of Aplacum about to murder Vandalus's latest would-be love interest, resulting in them vanquishing Aplacum before they learned who he was after.
