This is my story :) When I was 7 years old, the Head Teacher at my Primary School thought I was being aggressive to people, so she took me inside and started questioning me. I would not speak, and looked very abashed. The Head Teacher was concerned, so she phoned my Parents, who called a psychologist. The psychologist noticed there was something wrong with me and contacted ASCA, who proceeded to review and assess me over 3 years. The second he said "Your son is autistic," I saw myself differently. I was ashamed to go to school the next day, and my parents saw that I was extremely depressed.
